Active Learning Strategies

This session will highlight strategies for active learning that will help foster a learner-centered environment. We will explore the use of learning technologies and non-tech ways to encourage student engagement. In the last part of the evening, faculty will select a component of a current course, and will work to modify it using one or more of the active learning strategies with the assistance of a LLAE facilitator.

Learning Outcomes:

• Identify best practices for active learning environments
• Explore various non-technology active learning techniques
• Demonstrate use cases for technology-enabled learning strategies
• Design an active learning activity
